Burst into Spring with the most beloved of all chamber music works, Schubert’s joyous and uplifting Trout Quintet. Exploring the rich sonorities of the double bass – Queen of the Strings – the concert opens with “Adrift”, Elena Kats-Chernin’s soulful and dreamy duet for double bass and piano.
Join Kirsty McCahon and her friends, Tamara-Anna Cislowka (ABC Classic Duet presenter and pianist extraordinaire), Katherine Lukey (Deputy Concertmaster, Opera Australia Orchestra), Virginia Comerford (Principal Viola, Opera Australia Orchestra) and Rowena Crouch (Enigma String Quartet) in this captivating and beautiful program.
