Event Details
KURSK: an oratorio requiem is a musical memorial to the men who lost their lives on 12 August 2000, when the Russian submarine KURSK sank in the Baltic seas. This is a rare opportunity to experience a brand new work in development. One of Australia’s most well-regarded composers, David Chisholm, has taken Russian poet Anzhelina Polonskaya’s text and created an entirely new piece. Musicians will work together over four days culminating in an open rehearsal and the chance for Melbournians to be part of, and experience, the creative process in development.
