"Lady Sings the Viol", the latest Marais Project CD, brings together five wonderful singers - and some of Australia's finest instrumentalists - who individually and collectively present 700 years of very special songs for voice and viol accompaniment. Everything from medieval English love songs to Edith Piaf, John Paul Jones, Elena Kats Chernin, Chattanooga Choo Choo and Marais. This will be the CD launch of the year. What better place to appear than the wonderful Independent Theatre where we return after several years' absence.
