Event Details
A new open and democratic trio which premiered at the start of the year, it comprises pianist Luke Howard, acoustic bassist Ben Robertson and drummer Phil Collings. They perform original works by all three members. It is based on the idea of non-generic trio playing, and the exploration of melody, form and rhythm away from the constraints of preconceptions as much as possible. Howard, who has recently launched the second album by his group FGHR, will be going to Berlin for a ‘short music-inspired sabbatical’.
