Filled with rippling, soulful, and evocative music exploring exotic harmonies and folk melodies of Eastern European heritage, Eastern Ripples celebrates solo piano music, violin-piano duos, and the Russian roots of Scriabin, Bresnick, Glass, and Kats Chernin, the Hungarian Bartók (doing Bulgarian rhythms) and the Moravian Janáček. It begins in the late 19th century, journeys through the 20th century, and concludes with a 2021 world premiere.
