Act 1: Luke Harrald and special guests Zephyr Quartet
Real-time electro acoustic composition. Luke Harrald – technologies, Zephyr Quartet – strings
Exploring hyper-reality and media overload, this performance uses a combination of interactive Artificial Intelligence and wireless technologies to draw on the endless replication and exaggeration of digital media proliferated via the internet. Using bleeding edge digital music stands, Zephyr String Quartet will feature performing the work EndGame from their successful 2008 'Electro Acoustic Project 2'.
Second Act: Josh Baldwin Trio - Law jazz
Chris Soole – saxophone, Ben Fuller – bass, Josh Baldwin – drums
Chris, Ben and Josh have performed regularly together during the last six months. Tonight they will perform original compositons contributed by all band members, and will explore, in particular, odd time compositions in the open context of the sax trio.
