Winner of many prestigious awards, including the Freedman and National Jazz Awards, Matt McMahon is a leading Australian pianist/composer whose exciting work is appreciated by audiences and critics alike. An active collaborator with the likes of Vince Jones, Phil Slater and Dale Barlow, his CD Ellipsis was an impressive debut album as leader. The Matt McMahon Trio is his longstanding band with close collaborators Jono Brown and Simon Barker, with whom he has developed an astounding synergy. They will play pieces from their almost 15-year history and some brand new music from forthcoming trio CD too.
