Event Details

This July, Melbourne becomes the most exciting place in the world for chamber music. Sixteen brilliant young ensembles from around the world arrive to compete for more than $150,000 in cash and prizes and the chance to launch their international career. 

Melbourne Recital Centre and the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) play host for a week of your favourite repertoire, and the world premieres of two specially commissioned works by Australian composers Holly Harrison and Paul Stanhope.


HEATS ROUND TWO
Eight String Quartets and eight Piano Trios each perform a 19th or 20th century Romantic work as well as the specially commissioned work – Balderdash for String Quartet by Holly Harrison and Pulses for Piano Trio by Paul Stanhope.
