Event Details

Stephen Magnusson trio brings together long time friend and collaborator Frank Di Sario with special guest Australia's premier drummer/percussionist Simon Barker as they explore a set of improvised music together.

Stephen Magnusson has performed/recorded with Charlie Haden’s Music Liberation Orchestra, Tim Berne, Jim Black, Paul Grabowsky, Elixir, Enrico Rava and many others. Co-Winner of 2000 National Jazz Award, Bell award in 2013 and The Melbourne music prize 'Outstanding musician award' in 2013. Frank Di Sario has performed with Dale Barlow, George Coleman Jnr, Don Burrows, Joe Chindamo, Paul Grabowsky, Barbara Morrison, Nigel Kennedy, Jerry Lewis, Howard Alden and many others.

Simon Barker is the most in-demand jazz drummer in Australia and one of the best drummers in the world today. Visiting from Sydney for this performance.
