MIJF is proud to present the world premiere of The Gravity Project – a cross-cultural exchange with the Tokyo Jazz Festival exploring the frontiers of contemporary improvisation. Paul Grabowsky AO is joined by shakuhachi master Masaki Nakamura, koto virtuoso Kuniko Obina and Tokyo-based Australian beat maker, Aaron Choulai, plus a specially-formed outstanding lineup of Australian artists.
This project has been assisted by the Australian government through the Department of Communication and the Arts’ Catalyst — Australian Arts and Culture Fund.
Doors to this event will open 30 minutes prior to the advertised start time.
