See Miles Merrill with the Gai Bryant Quartet as part of the Capital Jazz Project. Enjoy music ranging from contemporary grooves, blues to eastern influenced tunes. Miles' collaboration with The Gai Bryant Quartet explores various ways of combining spoken word with jazz, ranging from structured arrangements to immediate interaction. Miles Merrill, originally from Chicago and now residing in Sydney; founder/co-producer of Australian Poetry Slam, has been compared to Allan Ginsburg, Lenny Bruce and Gil Scot-Heron. Featuring Miles Merrill, Gai Bryant, Jeremy Sawkins, Brendan Clarke and Paul Derricott. Box office opens 7:30pm.
