He has been the recipient of numerous other awards, and has also released two albums with the Johannes Luebbers Dectet (JLD), which was established in 2007. Following a move to Melbourne in 2016 Luebbers has established an ‘east coast’ version of the ensemble, with some of Melbourne’s leading improvisers.
