A celebration of works for violin and piano Following their dazzling performances in New York and Tokyo, violinist Isin Cakmakcioglu and pianist Maki Ono join forces in a recital of lyrical fantasies and rustic folk dances. Claude Debussy and Edvard Grieg’s glorious violin sonatas, the evocative Distance de Fee by Toru Takemitsu, Olivier Messiaen’s mystic Fantaisie, flamboyant folk dances by Percy Grainger and Turkish composer Adnan Saygun along with Schumann and Tchaikovsky’s romantic jewels are exhibited in this program of masterpieces and rare treasures.
