Event Details
York Yu, diminutive winner of the 2010 NSW Secondary Schools Concerto Competition is a mighty talent. The competition prize includes this opportunity to play the concerto of his choice (Greig) with the KPO.
Paul Stanhope is one of Australia's most highly regarded composers and a great friend to KPO. The Stanhope Fantasia pays homage to the famous Fantasia on a theme by Thomas Tallis written by the English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams. Music from Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty ballet is simply glorious.
Featured non-Australian music: Greig Piano Concerto; Tchaikovsky
