The wireless was the centrepiece of the Australian living room. From 1939-1958 the was no greater star of the airwaves than `that handsome sheik with the sax’, Clive Amadio. A virtuosic clarinettist and saxophonist, Amadio and his quartet brought live music into Australian homes with their hugely popular radio show The Clive Amadio Half Hour.
Join us on the last Sunday of the month for the popular Prelude in Tea Sunday concert series, famously featuring a luscious afternoon tea served from 2:30, followed by a 3:30 concert from some of Australia’s best and most exciting small ensembles. Cake from 2:30, Concert at 3:30. A Prelude in Tea concert is the perfect Sunday afternoon out.
