The inner workings of the two state-of-the-art buildings side-by-side on Southbank Boulevard - Melbourne Recital Centre and MTC Theatre - will be on show, with entertainment, tours and activities for all the family. Melbourne Recital Centre will present live performances throughout the building, showcasing Western and world music. On display will be one of Australia’s earlier music machines, Percy Grainger’s 1946 Sliding Pipe Free Music Invention, and one of Australia’s latest: a stunning new interactive instrument, Glass Percussion Project by composer Eugene Ughetti and installation artist Elaine Miles.
