Event Details
After two beautiful chamber concerts in the Salon, the Arcko is back doing what it does best! Pulling Strings features music for string orchestra by Richard Meale, Margaret Sutherland, James Hullick and Harrison Birtwistle, in the acoustically and visually appealing BMW Edge.
A crack string orchestra, made up of leading Melbourne musicians, under the direction of Arcko's founder will make for an exciting and invigorating evening as the audience is taken on a journey from Sutherland's neo-classical concerto of the 1940's through to the modern day sound world of the premiere of Hullick's although I see the darkness!
While trumpeter Bruno Siketa is the fearless and featured collaborator in Birtwistle's Endless Parade written originally for Hakan Hardenberger.
Brilliant music, brilliant play and all at incredibly afforable prices, and note the group discount.
Featured non-Australian music: Birtwistle - Endless Parade
