Event Details
Young expatriate Australian jazz guitarist Quentin Angus has made impressive progress after moving to New York just a few years ago, including multiple ASCAP Young Composers Awards. His debut album of originals, Retrieval Structure, was widely acclaimed, as was his follow-up album, Perception. He is returning for a national tour to present new works that specifically feature vocals. In addition to originals, smart arrangements of everything from hip-hop artists such as Mos Def, and the Australian based Hilltop Hoods, to choral composer Eric Whitacre will also be featured. Angus (guitar) is joined by Gian Slater (voice), Craig Simon (drums), James Bowers (piano), and his former Adelaide bandmate (now Melbourne-based) Marty Holoubek (bass).
