Visiting Master Teacher Rob Nairn will delight audiences with his prodigious talent on the double bass. A native of Australia, Rob is currently Professor of Double Bass at Penn State University and on the faculty of the Juilliard School in New York, having performed, recorded and toured the world as a double bass soloist.
Rob’s program features many works new to Melbourne audiences including Australian premiere performances of compositions by Teppo Hauta-aho, Fernando Millet, Barry Conyngham, Douglas Knehans and Paul Barsom. Rob will be joined by associate artist, pianist Amir Farid.
