Sandy Evans Trio sees distinguished saxophonist and composer Sandy Evans (recently awarded an OAM at the Queens Birthday honours list for her service to Australian contemporary jazz music as a composer and musician) delighting in the freedom of the classic saxophone trio format with her imaginative rhythm section of Brett Hirst and Toby Hall. Tonight, the trio explores new East-West sounds with very special guest artist and one of Australia’s leading Indian musicians, Bobby Singh, to weave an extraordinary kaleidoscope of colour, rhythm and melody, redefining the fusion of jazz and Indian music.
