Sizzle was conceived by Ensemble Offspring as an alternative musical event for Sydney in winter – a way of getting contemporary classical music off the endangered musical species list and into people’s Sunday arvos. Camperdown Bowling Club is hosting a relaxed arvo of eclectic entertainment, including food, drinks and a bowlo favourite, bingo. Ensemble Offspring member Veronique Serret will be guest curator at her local bowlo for this hot date in winter. Veronique Serret isn’t your run of the mill classical violinist. Travelling the country year round with the Australian Chamber Orchestra she lives in Drummoyne and will be curating a cacophony for Camperdown featuring The Noise improv string quartet, spoken word from Eleanor Knox, CODA, visual artists and of course Ensemble Offspring.
