Event Details
Cyrus Meurant presents a concert of his solo works in association with the Wollongong City Gallery’s opening to the Local: Current 2011 exhibition. The concert will feature the composer performing his compositions for synthesizer, solo piano, and electric violin. In conclusion Meurant will be joined by saxophonist Andrew Smith to perform a new work: 'Constancies'. Local: Current 2011 is a survey of recent work by ten local artists.
This is the third in a series of yearly exhibitions which investigate local artists’ practice, featuring: Richard Batson, Jasmin Carter, Jack Cochrane, Poncho Army, Julie Donnelly, Tamara Elkins, Michele Elliot, Ashley Forbes, Alena Kennedy, Noel Lonesborough.
The exhibition opening is 6:00pm (for 6:30pm) and will be followed by the concert at 8pm. Admission is FREE!
