The Sonus Finale celebrates three weeks of touring through the Kimberley by a unique collaboration of four of Australia’s finest musicians, Naomi Pigram (vocals and guitar), Mark Atkins (didgeridoo and vocals), Judith Hamann (cello) and Aviva Endean (clarinet). The Finale features guest artists from Perth and Broome, Lucky Oceans, Taj Jamieson, Annika Moses and Tristen Parr. Sonus is a meeting of cultural forces, ancient and contemporary, through songs of outback Australia and newly commissioned music for the tour. New songs, new works and new arrangements feature in a program reflecting the Kimberley communities and landscape travelled through. Tura presents this cross-cultural journey weaving a rich tapestry of uniquely Australian music, celebrating the sounds of the Kimberley.
