Barwon Park Mansion is a wonderful place for concerts and the Melbourne Mandolin Orchestra, Melbourne’s premier mandolin and guitar ensemble is excited to again be presenting a concert in this beautiful venue.
The Melbourne Mandolin Orchestra has thrilled and entertained audiences throughout Australia and overseas. It performs a very wide repertoire of music spanning several centuries and numerous styles ranging from Renaissance to contemporary compositions, some of which were written specifically for this orchestra.
Its ranks include professional and dedicated enthusiastic amateur musicians who have tremendous fun playing music!
This concert features works by Lalor, Angulo, Kellaris, Charlton and many others with evocative pieces such as Winter Collection and Dances of the Mandolin and the Moon.
Audience members are welcome to look through the magnificent 1870s mansion before the concert. Refreshments will also be available to purchase.
