A project by AAO Artistic Director, Peter Knight & Eugene Ball. Conservatorium Recital Hall 5 Sandy Bay Road, Hobart $20 Full/ $10 Concession To buy tickets please click link below or tickets will be available at the door 30 minutes prior to concert starting. Struttin’ with Some BBQ is a response to the life of jazz legend Louis Armstrong, to be developed by the Artistic Director of the AAO, Peter Knight and Eugene Ball. Struttin’ is the third in a series of AAO responses to the jazz greats, including responses to the work of Charlie Parker and Miles Davis. In July, Peter Knight and Eugene Ball will travel to Tasmania to create Struttin' in association with special guests of the AAO. During this time students at the University of Tasmania Conservatorium of Music will also be involved in workshops with the AAO musicians. This concert will showcase Louis Armstrong tribute pieces, a presentation on Louis Armstrong by Allan Browne OAM and a work featuring the AAO musicians and students from the Conservatorium.
