The Sydney Lawyers Orchestra in association with the Supreme Court of NSW is delighted to present a special concert celebrating the 200th anniversary of the first sitting of the Supreme Court of NSW on Friday 1 November 2024. Held at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, the concert will feature works by both Australian and European composers spanning the Court’s 200-year history. It includes everything from Beethoven to newly commissioned work by former NSW Supreme Court Judge and now full-time composer, George Palmer. The concert will showcase the finest musical talent from the NSW legal profession. As well as the Sydney Lawyers Orchestra, there will be guest appearances from the NSW Bar Choir, and award winning soprano and rising star Ellen McNeil.
