The Sydney Mandolin Orchestra presents its 3rd & final concert celebrating 90 years of music making with an exciting program of musical images from around the world. “Evocative Images” will transport the audience through music to different corners of the world from Europe to Australia and will include the world premiere of “Backyard Images” a newly commissioned work by the orchestra’s conductor & Musical Director Werner Ruecker.
Featured soloists – Jocelyn Fazzone Flute and George Teasdell Mandolin
This all-original mandolin orchestra program also includes works by Kuwahara and Sydney’s own Dr Stephen Lalor & Richard Charlton.
Featured non-Australian music: Spanischer Tanze (Fried Walter), Song of the Japanese Autumn (Yasuo Kuwahara), Die Heimreise (Konrad Wölki)
