Join the Sydney Youth Orchestra for Debussy's captivating orchestral work, Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune, a 10-minute work that's considered a turning point in the history of music, inspired by impressionist paintings. We proudly feature a new work by emerging Australian composer Lachlan Skipworth, continuing our commitment to supporting the creation of new music.
The program will aslo include a thrilling tone poem by Smetana. From the exquisite horn opening, the intense and dramatic Tchaikovsky's Symphony No.4 is an emotional tour de force that blazes with passion and the perfect finale to our season.
