Australia’s leading taiko drumming group blend traditional Japanese taiko practice with contemporary Australian and Japanese compositions in a spectacular performance of physical prowess and heart thumping sound. TaikOz are renowned for exploring the synthesis of East and West, old and new.
Combining the power of the taiko with the ethereal sound of Riley Lee’s bamboo shakuhachi, and the haunting melodies of William Barton’s didgeridoo, this world premiere performance promises to be an unforgettable musical journey for all ages.
