On May 17 & 18, Randwick Town Council will present the world premiere performances of Phillip Johnston's new original score for Lotte Reineger's 1926 silent silhouette animation, The Adventures of Prince Achmed, featuring a combination of pre-recorded sample-based audio and live instruments, performed by Sydney musicians James Greening, Alister Spence, Casey Golden & Phillip Johnston. This 65-minute film/music performance is suitable for both cineastes and fans of jazz and new music, and children of all ages who enjoy a fantastic adventure based on the Arabian Nights tales.
