Meupe is excited to announce the return of Lawrence English in a most unique setting - live at Scitech! Join us for an evening of fine experimental and improvised sound at everyone's favourite excursion destination. Lawrence English (room40, 12k, Touch) is media artist, composer and critic based in Brisbane, Australia. Working across a broad range of investigations, English’s work is eclectic and characterises a long-term exploration into various themes including audio/visual environments, found sound/vision, subtle transformation of public space and sonic art works that exist at the very edge of perception.
Joining English are highly prolific improvisational duo Splendid Friends (Camryn Rothenbury and Craig McElhinney) and soloist Kynan Tan. Strictly limited capacity venue. Tickets just $10 on the door (standard entry to Scitech alone is usually $15) and YES - the Scitech exhibits will be running throughout the evening. Get down early. Regrets guaranteed for those who miss this!
