Event Details
"The Birds bring an exciting new sound to the Perth music scene. They are an all female line up featuring Georgia Meredith on vocals, Kate Pass on double bass, Giane Hladin on drums, Amelia Jutilane-Maynard on vibraphone and Alana Macpherson on saxophone. The band formed during their Jazz studies at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). The Birds bring an exciting mix of originals and contemporary jazz arrangements. Their aim is to blend a mixture of styles and put their own spin on jazz standards and contemporary tunes."
