Melbourne Art Song Collective (MASC) presents a concert that celebrates the songs of Claude Debussy.
MASC has also commissioned new songs from four Australian composers in response to Debussy’s piano preludes.
The texts are taken from the work of Cassie Lewis’s recently published collection, ‘The Blue Decodes.’ Cassie is a Melbourne-born poet, currently resident in New York. The four composers whose new work will be featured are Matan Franco, Lisa Illean, Jack Symonds and Charlie Sdraulig.
