Event Details
Our 2013 concert season kicks off with yet another Marais Project first: five of the great gamba composers of the French baroque – Marais, Couperin, Forqueray, Dolle and Caix D’Hervelois – and a modern Australian composer – Rosalind Page – all on a single fabulous program! Fresh from her prestigious residency at Banff Artists’ colony, Canada in early 2013, gambist Jennifer Eriksson will take the audience on a once only journey through the rarely heard solo bass viol repertoire from a fascinating era in music history. This will be complemented by the world premiere of Page’s new work. We also welcome back much-love master gambist Daniel Yeadon.
Jennifer Eriksson & Daniel Yeadon – viola da gamba
Tommie Andersson – theorbo
Raymond Harvey – harpsichord
Featured non-Australian music: Marais, Couperin, Forqueray, Dolle, Caix D'Hervelois
