Event Details
Music at the Court House presents a unique afternoon of piano and theatrical performance with The Piano Lessons Recital, performing at the Kew Court House Sunday 21 October, 2pm. Based on her highly original memoir, Piano Lessons, Anna Goldsworthy takes the audience on an autobiographical journey through her musical career. Recalling her first steps towards a life in music, from childhood piano lessons with a local rock musician to international fame as a concert pianist, she evokes the hopes and uncertainties of young adulthood, the fear and exhilaration of performing, and the complex bonds between teacher and student. Anna Goldsworthy is an Australian classical pianist, writer and founding member of the Seraphim Trio. In this unique event she reads many of her favourite passages from Piano Lessons and performs the music that inspired her calling. Music at the Court House is a series which runs on the third Sunday of every month until November.
