The Pollinator Party brings together bees, scientists, beekeepers, food, and live music. This annual event also provides an opportunity for people of all ages to celebrate the life and work of honey bees and native bees. Bee-Sharp Honeybee is a new music project by Rae Howell, inspired by and directly derived from the sound of the bee buzz. Using technical and music (frequency) data of the wing-beat speed and structures of the tone & pitch of the bee buzz, this work-in-progress performance features the raw 'Miniatures' for string quartet.
