Event Details

Southern Highlands identity Ann Carr-Boyd has been composing for 50 years. Her well-earned reputation as a pre-eminent Australian composer means that her music is frequently performed in concerts and broadcast on FM. We are very proud to have been instrumental in resurrecting many of her early works as the Flying West collection.

In September we complete the Flying West undertaking of 2015 in a program completely different to the first.

Ann’s ability to become one with her subject is never more apparent than in these songs from the 70s - from the world of insects to thoughts on the power of love, to the challenges of motherhood. At the same time she embraces the cosmological, the baroque, the profound and the silly.

Join Thoroughbass for a Spring celebration with delicious Southern Highlands fare, delectable wines and Ann’s music for…Spring! Everywhere’s here (from Three Songs of Love).
