A Hammond Organ Trio is a rare animal, and rarer still is a larger combo with horn section. ToneWheel fleshes out Darren Heinrich's original material using this wider tonal palette and draws inspiration from Dr. Lonnie Smith and 'Big' John Patton.
The James Ryan Trio is back with new tunes and a new album, Bitter Sweet released through the ABC. Having already performed from Darwin to the Sound Lounge this year, this band promises to continue redefining the old/new axis of jazz.
