Volta is the newest Sydney-based outlet for new composition among emerging composers. Four currently enrolled composition students at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music have formed a small chamber orchestra of 12, exploring the depth of acoustic colour in the woodwind heavy, piano-centred ensemble. Volta showcases the stylistic diversity and focus of the newest of new music. The event is free to all.
