Event Details
Australian musical great William Barton has inspired audiences worldwide with his supreme artistry and unique blend of Indigenous and Western classical traditions.
A charismatic musical personality, Barton takes listeners on a journey each time he performs – exploring traditional songlines, modern inspiration and the immense possibilities of his instrument, the didgeridoo.
In this intimate concert, Barton collaborates with violinist Veronique Serret and his mother, Australia’s “Dreamtime Opera Diva” Aunty Delmae Barton, for songs of Country, improvisations and vibrant artistic fusion.
Veronique Serret is one of Australia’s most versatile musicians, equally at home on electric and acoustic violins, and a longstanding collaborator with Indigenous artists. Aunty Delmae Barton brings spiritual grounding and a deep sense of heritage through her vocals.
Together they’ve developed a program that takes a soulful approach to music and storytelling – at once lyrical, earthy and contemporary.
