Event Details
Breath transforms into sound in this concert featuring Taffanel’s expertly crafted wind quintet alongside the exquisite miniatures that form La Cheminée du Roi René (The Chimney of King René) by French composer Milhaud. With characteristic sensitivity, Sydney Omega Ensemble will also breathe life into a new work (aptly titled The Omega Quintet) by one of Sydney’s exceptional young composers, Daniel McCallum, currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
Featured non-Australian music: TAFFANEL Wind Quintet, MILHAUD La Cheminée du Roi René (The Chimney of King René), REINECKE Wind Octet Op. 216
