Former Queensland-based electric bassist/composer, Zoë Frater, premieres new repertoire with her expanded ensemble. 'Tunes with stories and poetry' is how this Melbourne-based ensemble journeys through compositions of Frater. This ‘small big’ band setting features a rhythm section of Ronny Ferella (drums), Ben Hauptmann (guitar) and Frater, together with the four voices of Shannon Barnett (trombone), Julien Wilson (tenor saxophone), Carl Pannuzzo and Penny Larkins (voice), taking you through a collective experience.
