My first set of Bassoon Abbreviations aims to give players some exercises to extend their experience beyond traditional repertoire. Different forms of rhythmic dexterity are called for, a large range, exciting fast passages, and some slower-moving, lyrical pieces. I also wanted to incorporate contemporary pop culture influences, as a means of inspiring performers to explore new styles. It's also a bit of fun!
