An analysis of light movement - à l'aube demonstrates an understanding of nature and time relations to consider the coming to life of the Australian wilderness at dawn. First performed by Matt Withers for his Australian Music Composition Competition at the Canberra National Arboretum, the piece draws inspiration from Sue Needham's painting 'The Forest' while considering the relations of time learnt to time imposed by the human perception.
