Product details
Addict continues Michael Kieran Harvey's collaborations with composer and sound engineer Michael Hewes, involving computer sound-processing of the piano. 'It has no intrinsic musical merit whatever, but is a representation of a state of psychological disorder brought on by top 40 repetitions. Bits of the whole recital turn up without warning or meaning. The piece is easily led and essentially unsalvageable. It tests left hand stamina to the limit... Lines from a poem by James Anderson: 'our collective head is an overloaded novocane attic haemorrhaging suns into ocean dew.'
