Product details
Composing this work gave me a great deal of
pleasure. I gained my inspiration mostly from nature, windswept
afternoons on a cloudy day, September in the rain, gardens on a
sunny day in spring, Autumn leaves of red and gold, and places
the composer likes to visit such as Windsor and the Hunter Valley
in New South Wales and Ballarat in Victoria. The music is a
reverie of elegiac pensiveness and contains repeated episodes
with somewhat altered material. The work ends with an extended
coda and is based on the following note row: D, Ab, A, C, Eb, E,
Bb, B, C#, F#, F and G.
