Product details
This short piece is a funeral march for the death of Bhishma, the patriarch in the Indian epic, Mahabharata. Bhishma can choose the time of his own death, and, although mortally wounded, lies on the forest of arrows that have pierced his skin until the end of the war. He then passes on his wisdom to the Pandava brothers, and asks Arjuna for water. Arjuna shoots an arrow into the ground near his head, and water springs up. Then he dies.
