|
Product details
This piece is an investigation into the different qualities of noise possible from instruments in a small ensemble. Using the anology of electrified water snakes and their trajectories as a source for the graphic score, the piece is a series of interlocking motives that contrast the fluid movement of these animals with the turbulence their movement creates. The work is dedicated to Austin Buckett, whose pianism influenced the structure of that part, and composer Peter Ablinger, noise champion. It was premiered at Studio 228, at the ABC in Sydney.
