Product details

In the tradition of late 15th century paraphrase mass form, this arrangement of Paul Simon's 'Bridge over troubled water' embeds the song's melody within a rich polyphonic setting. For copyright reasons, it is defined as an arrangement. However, it is more of a re-purposed composition than a traditional arrangement. The re-purposing also involves: i) the inclusion of an original song by Richard Vella titled 'Songs are bridges' which is heard at the beginning and end; and 2) texts by the American poet Emily Dickinson (1830-1886).

Sample pages from the full score are provided. The full score can be accessed through Sheet Music Plus at https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/en/product/bridge-over-troubled-water-23665830.html
