Product details

CLARION FRACTURE ZONE working with the 23 voice Martenitsa Choir have produced a musical expression of desire and passion that takes its inspiration from the Biblical love poem, The Song of Songs. Canticle was commissioned by the Paddington Uniting Church during recent church debates about sexuality with the hope that it would express the passion and delight of sex as a gift from God. The three composers in the group, Sandy Evans, Tony Gorman and Alister Spence, have explored a vast range of soundscapes to produce a work of contrast, passion, eloquent longing and brassy allurement.

Duration: 61 min.
